Re: BDB Corruption...

Quanah,

I'm misinterpreting the man page to suggest the overlap. I hadn't seen this in the O'Reilly book on the subject, the on-line docs I've read so far, or messages on this list during my short membership, so I was asking for some clarification. What you've given me has helped a lot.

Thanks again, Roy

Quanah,

Okay, but it seems to me like these settings are getting pulled in from
the similar-sounding entries in slapd.conf. Might that be the case? I
appreciate the link and will follow its references to the sizing
guidelines, as well.

The settings are not the same, I suggest reading the link to the OpenLDAP FAQ, as well as the man page on slapd-bdb. You *must* have a DB_CONFIG file for BDB to function properly as a backend, this has been gone over in the list in exhaustive detail many times.
