man "slapd.access", it is the general documentation on writing ACL rules.

Thanks Quanah. I have read the slapd.access man page, and plan to read it several more times. I was just trying to find links to good tutorials or books that cover this extensively, providing numersous examples and possible approaches, etc. I guess most people just learn it by reading the man pages, and then figure out anything else by just "playing" around with it. This is what I am doing now. Your page was helpful, and I will read it again a few more times.
