Are you accessing ldaptool.html from the local file system (a file:/
URL) or a web server (http:// URL)? My guess is the latter. As a
security feature, Netscape doesn't even allow you to grant privileges to
unsigned code from a foreign host.

If you save it to a local file system and then access it, you should get
the allow dialog box.

While I have the attention of the OpenLDAP mailing list, I have a
hypothetical question -- would it be possible for me to request a
subdirectory somewhere in the OpenLDAP CVS tree for ongoing development
of this tool? I have been trying to get it into Mozilla LDAP CVS
repository, but due to unforeseen circumstances, that process is
dragging on a lot longer than I originally anticipated.

I'd like to find a high-visibility, high-quality home for this tool, and
wanted to explore some other options in case Mozilla LDAP doesn't work
out soon.

Thanks,

        -Kartik
