LDAP Clients with write functionality?

Hi,

I managed to get the LDAP server working yesterday. It took me a
day, but this involved getting the autoconf stuff, and the m4 stuff and
basic configuration of the server. I was quite happy with that.

I'm setting up the server, because I think it would be beneficial in our
(small) organisation. We don't have an existing directory system, so
LDAP is not acting as a means to query, for example, an X.500
based system. I'm using LDAP with an ldbm backend.

I'd like to use a GUI based LDAP client for windows/x.windows or a
java applet to add some entries to my database. I've seen a couple
of LDAP clients integrated into mail clients that can search a
database using LDAP, but neither provide functionality to add to the
database. I'm interested in a free client, if one exists.

I guess it would not be very difficult to write a cgibin script interface
to ldapadd which could be used to add entries via a web interface,
but if there's already a client available which can do the job, there's
no point in me reinventing the wheel!

TIA,
Sean.
