IMHO, this is wrong (the way Evo does it ...), instead just type * in
the search field, and you will see as many entries as
max(slapd-max-entries,mozilla-max-entries).

I don't have an openldap server setup that I can authenticate to, and I
don't know why it prompts for a username/password.

BTW, AFAIK you don't really need a Mozilla-specific schema (unless you
want to store the Mozilla-specific attributes that are accessible via
the properties for the user), as most visible attributes can be
addressed via inetOrgPerson.

Anyway, I hardly ever do searches in the Mozilla address book, usually I
just use the auto-completion in the To/Cc fields.

Of course, this doesn't really have much to do with openldap specifically.
