smbk5pwd overlay bug


There is bug with the smbk5pwd overlay (OL 2.2.20) somewhere. slap* tools will not work when smbk5pwd is configured.

$ slaptest -d1
/usr/local/etc/openldap/slapd.conf: line 35: password scheme "{CLEARTEXT}" not available
/usr/local/etc/openldap/slapd.conf: line 35: no valid hashes found
slaptest: bad configuration file!

I get the same error when other hashes are configured.

slapd starts fine with the same config.
