The more general question would be "Does anyone know of the
LDAPv3 description of the rfc822MailGroup schema element?".

(OpenLDAP 2.0 uses LDAPv3 schema descriptions).

Likely means that there is no formal description of this schema
element available.  Which makes using it quite hard....

[without the OID, I don't have a clue as to who the owner is].
