DC question

Greetings,

I am developing a directory structure.

my domain is  beth.k12.pa.us
basic format would be

dc=us
dc=pa
dc=k12
dc=beth

since this structure is designed for change and flexibility it may 
not be best for me. Since my domain will never change (i shouldn't 
use that word) but the basic k12.pa.us will/should always be my top.

Does anyone see a problem with designing the root DN as;

dc=k12.pa.us
dc=beth
or
dc=beth.k12.pa.us


would this work? or did I break some rule?
