mailinglist for DIT Layout issues?
Hi,
Is there some mailinglist where DIT Layout issues for common tasks are
discussed?
Like hosting virtual domains, having local (to these domains) uid's
and local/global user profiles (e.g. for mail), mailinglists,
local and global apache user/admin groups.
As I understand these tasks are common to ISP's.
I'm looking for ideas for the following:
Different clients make differing assumptions about where their data
is stored, and if they are operating on a single host/domain
or in a multihost/home environment.
while uid's are suitable for single host environments, mailaddresses seem
to be the approach for DN's in a multihost environment.
One user can have many mailadresses but inetOrgPerson information
should be only in one location.
pam login authentication perhaps should only lookup accounts local to
a specific machine and real-person accounts should have a link to
the record holding the inetOrgPerson information.
One would like to have a single location where all accounts for one user
can be disabled, in case some person leaves the organisation.
Thanks for your ideas
