Yes, you can have any data in an attribute, even binary content such as a JPEG
image.  The hardest thing is that you editor has to provide a way of loading the
content into the attribute.  The ldapmodify commands, etc,  provide the ability
to specifiy file names as the value of an attribute, and the content of the file
is loaded into the attribute.
