Re: About the backend in slapd.conf



Hai,

backend <databasetype> shows beginning of a backend definition
database <databasetype>-Beginning of a new database instance

For instance..
# Backend specific directives apply to this backend until another# 'backend'
directive occursbackend        bdb
# Specific Directives for database #1, of type bdb:# Database specific
directives apply to this databasse until another# 'database' directive
occursdatabase        bdb
Sameway,you can follow more database directives(under each backend
directive) and more backend directives.
