RE: Only encrypt the ldap traffic

Hi Matthias,

Use ldap over SSL- in other words, ldaps. SASL is not necessary, just SSL.
Authentication will use simple bind. You'll also save yourself the
aggravation of messing about with ssh tunnels and such.
