Re: other attribute to bind to the ldap server

You can use:

cn=username, cn=users, dc=example, dc=com
username@example.com
or (depends of your installation) simply: username

Is it possible to use another attribute besides the cn=username, cn=users, dc=example, dc=com? I found out that the login name might not be the same as cn. since this is stored in sAMAccoutName. could I use this attribute to bind to the server? so far, I couldn't seem to be able to bind to it? am i missing something?
