Hi all,

I am working with Redhat 7.1 and openldap 2.0.7-14

I find strange behavior with ldapsearch command which worked with ldap v2
.

I tried:
ldapsearch -x objectclass=User -LLL   ->  ok 3 entries
ldapsearch -x objectclass=U*   -LLL   ->  bad filter  !!!!!

If I used
ldapsearch -x cn=user1 -LLL -> ok 1 entry
ldapsearch -x cn=u*    -LLL -> ok 3 entries

So a filter with "*" for objectclass does not work !!!!???

Because no SUBSTRING matching rule is defined for the objectclass attribute type.
