I guess you guys have read this?

Most of the attributes described therein are allowed by inetOrgPerson. You
shouldn't need to depart from the "standard" to get WAB displaying data in
plenty of its fields.

So our "person" entries start like this:

dn : uid=someuid,ou=people,dc=...
objectclass : top
objectclass : person
objectclass : organizationalPerson
objectclass : inetOrgPerson
then add attributes as required....

Take a look at the above link and let me know if there is anything else you
need to know.
