more on ldap groups and mail groups

First off, thanks for all the info so far.  
I want to throw another thing out I _just_ found, and I wanted to see if
what people thought.  It's called "Sympa" (http://listes.cru.fr/sympa) and
works like a majordomo type list manager.  However it can use SQL
databases or LDAP for it's email address includes.  Hmmm, looks promising,
so I'll probably check it out, but I wanted to see if anyone else had
experience using it with OpenLDAP or other LDAP servers.
