OpenLDAP and Netscape 4.5

Hello,

i have just setup an openldap server version 1.1. I have build a
database (email addresses) with the ldapadd command. It works fine and
Netscape 4.5 can use this database, but i want to add some new addresses
with the Netscape and not with the ldapadd or ldapmdify tool. Does it
work? Do you have any suggestion?

My slapd.conf:

database        ldbm
suffix          "o=GOM, c=DE"
directory       /usr/tmp
rootdn         "cn=root, o=GOM, c=DE"
rootpw          ******
defaultaccess 	write
