Installation problem

  I've been following the simple setup instructions in the manual for
installing a test LDAP system.  When I use the "ldif2ldbm" command to
compile the datadabse it returns four "File or Directory" not found errors.
Do I need some sort of database software or something like that?

The error:
/ldif2id2entry: execv: No such file or directory
/ldif2id2children: execv: No such file or directory
/ldif2index: execv: No such file or directory
/ldif2index: execv: No such file or directory
