read-only replica ? (Re-sent)

Hi there,

I installed OpenLDAP (updated on 03 Sep) on 2 machines running Solaris 2.5.1 
(replica) and 2.6 (master).  They work fine except when I send ldapmodify 
request to the replica, it won't forward the request to master, but update the 
database locally instead.

I followed the Umich LDAP 3.3 administration guide to setup slurpd.  Btw, 
similar problem was encountered in the Umich version.

Would anyone please help?
