Language bindings

I'm planning to make a v8(http://code.google.com/p/v8/) - ldap
binding/extension

Trying to do it well,

I'd be glad to hear any recommendation ( musts / pitfalls / post
mortem / etc. ), as well as any useful documentation / reference /
previous works etc.
