Re: setting SLAPI_MODIFY_MODS in slapd



Another question: it appears that, in the Netscape API, that pre-
operation plugins return 0 or -1, indicating (respectively) that
the operation should succeed or that it should fail and an LDAP
result has already been sent to the client.

The OpenLDAP implementation, by contrast, expects that plugin to
return an LDAP result code and (at least in the case of modify)
just logs the failure.

Who has the correct behaviour? If OpenLDAP is incorrect, does 
anyone mind if I fix it?
