ldap with qmail

HI,

I have a problem with ldap when migrating my database from MySQL to ldap. The
backend database for ldap is gdbm. Initially the migration was very fast (50,000
records in 5 minutes )  using the slapadd utility , but after 300,000 record
were added it became very slow and in fact stopped .  I need to add around
1200,000 records to it .

Moreover the vadduser and other utilities of vpopmail does not work when the DB
is huge . Should i have to do some configuration changes in gdbm to have such
huge DB ???
