I had to kill the daemon and now it will not start again.  I am new to LDAP, I
was
in the process of setting everything and the slapd daemon was running fine until
I 
killed the process and now it does not report an error when trying to run the
daemon
however ldapadd and all other utilities report can't connect to LDAP server.  I
removed the directories and installed clean, but still will not work anymore.  I
am 
very open to any suggestions.
