But *why* does an implementation have to map 2.5.6.2 to anything at all, 
if there are (as Leif said) no end-users who might want to see the string 
"country" (or the appropriate string in their preferred language)?  Y'all 
seem to be assuming that the native representation of attribute type names 
in implementations is the descriptors.
