You then need to get the file F510PDAMv12 in either pdf or word 
format. All three mechanisms - compound attributes, families of 
entries and use of contexts are described in there (except that you 
will need to understand X.500(97) in order to understand the use of 
contexts)

I have not followed the vCard work, but I am sure that what we are 
doing will be useful, because SO MANY PEOPLE HAVE NEEDED 
THIS TYPE OF FEATURE from day one. Its quite surprising that 
we have not standardised it before now
