No. According to RFC 2251 page 29, second paragraph:

>                                      There are two special values which
>     may be used: an empty list with no attributes, and the attribute

      ^^^^^^^^^^^

"*" is an attribute description, not an attribute type.  The examples in
your message are not legal.
