Re: LDAP terminology proposal




OK, I believe we have consensus on this new terminology, and so direct the document editors to revise the drafts accordingly. This affects the protocol and authmeth drafts, and maybe the url draft, but not any of the others as far as I can tell.

Sorry to continue teasing at this as I know we want to close on it, but let me suggest "transport connection" rather than just "connection". I think this would be more consistent with the use of that phrase in the TLS spec. And it would make all the terms two words (or two strings, at least).

I have no problem with this suggestion.
