Full_Name: Quanah Gibson-Mount Version: HEAD OS: Solaris 8 URL: ftp://ftp.openldap.org/incoming/ Submission from: (NULL) (171.66.182.82) The ldapadd script created at installation time with the HEAD checkout has invalid links created: /usr/local/bin/ldapadd: error: /usr/local/stow/openldap-2.3.0/bin/.libs/ldapmodify does not exist The comments in the script itself: # This wrapper script should never be moved out of the build directory. # If it is, it will not operate correctly. seem to indicate that what should be happening (??) definately isn't. I'd at least expect ldapadd (if it is only going to be a script) to just use ./ldapmodify, rather than a full path.

SHTOOL seems unable to create relative links where both of the targets are in the same directory: ../../build/shtool mkln -t -f /usr/local/stow/openldap-2.3.0/bin/ldapmodify /usr/local/stow/openldap-2.3.0/bin/ldapadd ln -f ldapmodify /usr/local/stow/openldap-2.3.0/bin/ldapadd ln: accessing `ldapmodify': No such file or directory It definitely performs the wrong ln command here. I've sent a gnote to gnu@gnu.org :P --Quanah -- Quanah Gibson-Mount Principal Software Developer ITSS/Shared Services Stanford University GnuPG Public Key: http://www.stanford.edu/~quanah/pgp.html
