Not practicable right now, I'm afraid. I work in a "make it work now"
environment, and come the morning I suspect I'll be directed to bypass the
central replicator concept and to have each slave update itself directly
from the relevant master; it seems the O(N^2) complexity is no longer the
issue it once was.
Of course, they can't tell me what I can and can't do on my network at
home :-)
