If one defined a replica server and had slurpd feed a server that took
whatever actions you wanted, would that suffice?

I'm thinking of something along that line (using another instance of 
openldap running back-perl) to realtime update our Active Directory 
server when changes happen in the authoritative OpenLDAP server.
