RE: slapcat -F failing to backup

I am running openldap-2.3.43.  However this issue happened a few weeks ago with no big changes to our ldap infrastructure.    I did upgrade openldap to 2.4 but still encountered the issue.

I'd suggest you note what version you are using, and also read over the 
change log at <http://www.openldap.org/software/release/changes.html> for 
everything that's been fixed since that release.  Your issue sounds vaguely 
familiar.
