Re: Two instances on a common database

   Hello,

I would need to start two OpenLdap instances on a common database. Is this possible? Has this ever been done before?...

     Why?.

I have 4 read/slave servers, but only one write/master server. When there are problems propagating the changes, i must read from only one write/master.

    Thanks.

    Its very easy:
I dont want to read from a write server the authoritative data.

But you could do it with access control, don't you ? Some users who can only read, some who can only write...

What do you think about this ?

I am just curious : why do you want to do such a thing ?
