TCP/IP problems getting a large amount of data from a ldap search

Hi,

I don't know if the next problem is an openldap problem, but it only occures
(only) on ldap network traffic, so i give it a try:

We have a problem on our Windows NT systems (with SP6a) when we preform a
ldap search on an openldap server resulting in a large number of results.
When the number of results is limited (< 50 entries) the search works fine.

We looked at the tcp/ip network dumps, and we see the error occures when a
network package is dropped (by NT). The openldap server goes on with
sending, but NT can't handle them.

This problem does not occure when we perform the ldap search on a linux
client.

Our server is a Compaq proliant ML370 two processor system with Redhat 7.1
and Openldap 2.0.15.

Any Idea?

Gerrit
