escape character in LDIF

I am trying to update an entry in LDAP using ldapmodify
The attribute that I am trying to update contains comma (,) in the
description text.
Am I escaping the character right?

dn: lib=4,ou=libraries,o=US
changetype: modify
description: "Architects\\, engineers\\, designers\\, and other
consultants"
