I saw that broken behaviour in one of the 4.5 prereleases, but
they fixed it quickly.

It works for me.  I search myself in the directory, double click
on the icon and Netscape jumps to (wrapped for clarity):

ldap://ldap.stl.es/cn%3DJulio%20S%C3%A1nchez%20Fern%C3%A1ndez%2C
	ou%3DPersonas%2Cdc%3Dstl%2Cdc%3Des

That's pretty much UTF-8 to me.  My slapd log confirms that the
request was sent using UTF-8 (I don't paste it, since it is full
of nasty characters.

Since, on the other hand, you are finding a problem, could you
describe better your setup?
