Yes.  I forgot, of course, that this really is a Cyrus SASL
problem in that they, not us, link in GSSAPI and Kerberos.
(excepting kpasswd/kbind, but threading is not an issue here)

I'd have to agree here.  Installers can always disable the bar
via the environment.
