The id2UUID idea seems to work only for the fully indexed searches
or wildcard AVA's (attr=*) which does not seem unreasonable to assume
in the case of replication.

This is probably a workable idea, but I'm not up on the whole details. What
info does syncrepl need, the entryCSN, the DN, what else?
