Trouble compiling CVS with GCC 3.0.4

When configuring the latest CVS (7am on April 22, 2002) with gcc 3.0.4, I 
am now seeing:

checking for gcc option to accept ANSI C... no
configure: error: OpenLDAP required compiler to support STDC constructs.

Any help is greatly appreciated!
