Need assistance with Programming for LDAP in C

I am doing some development in LDAP using C, =

with openldap 1.2.7, I'd like to know where I can get
some examples on clients that add entries to the
directory In 'C', of course.

I am having difficulty in interpreting the Man pages on
LDAP_add.
