The current OpenLDAP release is 2.4.13.  The final OpenLDAP 2.3 release was 
2.3.43.  I suggest you try with either 2.3.43 if you don't want to move yet 
to OpenLDAP 2.4, or you switch to using OpenLDAP 2.4.
