It also works for me when I simply run the test with './run test017'.

In my first posting it seems that back-hdb was used. How can I run this
test explicitly with back-hdb enabled?

How can I find the differences? (This question might sound stupid to you
developers but test builds of OpenLDAP is just a side-job in my spare time.)
