In back-meta and in the rwm overlay I'm reconstructing the filter abyway
because I need to rewrite DN-valued attributes and so. I've already
fixed back-meta so that it can be instructed whether any of the targets
support absoluteFilters, or even to detect it at startup. For
back-ldap, what I intend to do is to simply do a comparison with the
leading string "(?=" and, in case, use the appropriate filter. The
point, again, is between using the absoluteFilter form or a workaround
based on the upportedFeatures of the remote server.
