Hello, I've seen information indicating that slapd.conf is no longer in use in OpenLDAP, however the release 2.4.xx comes with a slapd.conf. Can someone please clarify what this file is used for in release 2.4.xx?
Using slapd.conf is deprecated, and it is recommended to use the cn=config backend instead. However, using slapd.conf will continue to work in 2.4, and most likely in 2.5 as well.
