No. My point is you should not be using the 2.4.31 package, as it has many
significant known issues. If you can't find the package out of backports
that was put together, then I'd suggest obtaining a build from Symas or the
LTB project.
I can say that this:
dn: olcDatabase={1},cn=config
is definitely invalid. It should be olcDatabase={1}<something>,cn=config.
You probably mean:
dn: olcDatabase={1}hdb,cn=config
