'idassert' feature support on 2.3 branch in back-meta

Hi, I'm actually using openldap 2.3.27 with meta backend, and digging
on 2.3.35 code I have found that 'idassert' feature seems to be
recently ported to back-meta on branch 2.3, but there is no reference
to this feature on man pages or changelog. Is that feature a work in
progress in back-meta 2.3 or is it ready to be used?
