Run your add against a server that is not configured to return referrals for 
the database you are trying to write to.

So, either:
1)don't try and do a write to your slave
2)fix the configuration of your master to not give referrals for its local 
databases
3)correct your ldif to use the correct basedn
(there may be other solutions, but these are the most obvious)

(which one of these is the solution cannot be determined with the information 
you have provided)

If none of the 3 solutions above helps ... provide at least some configuration 
detail on this LDAP server (slapd.conf ideally, maybe OpenLDAP's ldap.conf as 
well).
