I have to disagree. It *is* possible to replicate from 2.1 or later to 2.0.
It's enough that slurpd is configured to not replicate some operational
attributes. A statement like

attr!=structuralObjectClass,entryUUID,entryCSN

should do the trick.

Even if OL 2.0 is obsolete there are still a number of sites where it's
still used and is simply not possible to upgrade all servers
simultaneously.
This allows for a gradual replacement.
