I thought it was supposed to be based on Fedora Core 3, which IIRC has 2.2.15 ...

WHEN WILL REDHAT WAKE UP AND MAKE MY JOB EASIER?

I simply suggest not using RedHat. :)

So I take it Solaris and Debian stable both have 2.2.17 ? ;-).

FYI, we couldn't make 2.2.x the default for Mandrake 10.1 (since it was too late to rebuild and test all software dependant on libldap.so.2 etc), but I did build openldap2.2 packages which are in contrib, and can be installed in parallel. The SRPM should build successfully (if you chase down the sources) on older releases too ... and I hope to provide packages for at least 10.0, maybe 9.2 as well.
