What libdb*-dev packages have you installed? Maybe you have libdb3-dev but no 
libdb4*-dev. Can it be?

Anyway, if you're not going to use Berkeley DB backend, maybe you could 
disable it: --disable-bdb (ok, might not be the right solution).
