Yes, but it turns out that 2.2.14 was the cause, don't know why but
when I upgraded to 2.2.15 with db-4.2.52+patches ssl started working...

I am having a problem with ssl and slurpd. We have a local CA that
have built and both ldap servers are using it fine. As you can see

Both the cacert.pem files are the same on the server and the client.
Does the client slapd.conf also have those SSL parameters?
